J Fiction Carry Me Home, by Janet Fox
“This book explores many sub-topics but the main topic is homelessness. Rural Montana is usually spared being the focus for homelessness. The story isn’t about those who are homeless because they want the freedom, or they don’t believe in working, or they are disabled or mentally ill. This story is about the accidents in life that create reactions to circumstances that turn into being on a life path not intended. The story is told from the vantage point of a young girl and her little sister. It is well told and infused with hope, and inspires some faith in our fellow human beings. We are the type of people we see in this story. I am of course pleased at the role the library and the librarian ends up playing.”

Fiction The Horses Know, by Lynn Mann
“Wonderful concept! Really engaging story. A super fun journey with horses outside of the realm of our reality! Well developed characters and an easy read! I enjoyed the full concept of “peace”, even with your enemies, as presented in this story.”

Young Adult Fantasy/Mystery Storm and Fury, by Jennifer L. Armentrout
” What good is it to have a supper cool power, but be hidden away because it’s not time to fulfill your destiny. This is the main theme of this book that runs though out. This is a story about a naïve young woman who through a set of harrowing circumstances discovers that the world and those around her is not what she expected. What I liked about this book is that the main charter has a rare genetic disease that has left her with a life altering handicap. It isn’t something that is not found very often in fantasy books, make it a breath of fresh air. One of the thing that I didn’t like about the book is that the plot didn’t get up off the ground high or fast enough for my taste. Over all this was a good enough read, that I have the next two books in the three part series waiting for me to read them one my bookshelf.”
